EMPLOYEE BENEFITS In addition to receiving an equitable salary and having an equal opportunity for professional development and advancement, employees may be eligible to enjoy other benefits. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) The Employee Assistance Program is a resource designed to provide highly confidential and experienced help for employees in dealing with issues that affect their lives and the quality of their job performance. BL Companies wants employees to be able to maintain a healthy balance of work and family that allows them to enjoy life. The EAP is a confidential counseling and referral service that can help employees successfully deal with life’s challenges. This comprehensive counseling service offers employees a 24-hour hotline answered by professional, degreed counselors. The company encourages employees to use this valuable service whenever they have such a need. Employees who choose to use these counseling services are assured the information disclosed in their sessions is confidential and not available to the company, nor is the company given any information on who chooses to use the services. For questions or additional information about this program, employees may contact the Human Resources department. Insurance Benefits Life, Short-Term, Long-Term, Health, Dental and Vision Insurances are currently available to all regular full- time employees. There is a
biweekly contribution by the employee for Health Insurance that includes Vision and Dental. The Company pays for a $50,000 life insurance policy for regular full-time employees, at no cost to the employee. Supplemental life insurance is available for the employee, spouse and dependents at the employee’s expense. Health Insurance coverage may be provided to part- time employees working an average of thirty (30) hours per week for an entire year prior to eligibility. Please contact the Human Resources Department for additional information. 401K Plan The Company administers a 401K Retirement Plan for all eligible employees. Current information on eligibility for the plan, investment options and other information is available from the Human Resources Department. Employees are eligible to participate in the plan after start date. Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) BL Companies is proud to be 100% owned by its employees. An ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) is an employee retirement benefit plan through which all Company employees have an opportunity to own company stock without having to pay for it. Plan years run from January through December of each year. All employees with one (1) full year of service and at least 1,000 worked hours will be eligible to join the plan during the next entry period following their one-year anniversary date. An employee who is rehired will be given credit for his or her prior employment at BL Companies. Entry periods are January 1st and July 1st of each plan year. Upon participation, each
