SAFETY BL Companies is committed to the safety and health of all employees and recognizes the need to comply with regulations governing injury and accident prevention and employee safety. Maintaining a safe work environment, however, requires the continuous cooperation of all employees. The Company has a Safety Committee comprised of representatives of each discipline and each office. This committee meets quarterly to review safety procedures, ongoing safety training and annually update the Safety Manual. Upon hire, each employee will be required to review the Safety Manual and complete the assigned acknowledgment as part of their onboarding and orientation. Employees are responsible for becoming familiar with, and complying with, the policies contained in it. The Department designee from the Safety Committee will go over the department specific aspects of the Manual and any training the employee may need. In addition, each new employee is required to: ▪ Upload a copy of their valid driver’s license to the Paycom documents portal; ▪ Watch a short video on driver safety. ▪ Safety training is to be completed prior to working in the field.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Licensure
The Company encourages the career growth of its employees by supporting their professional licenses and educational advancement. Professional Licenses – Maintaining Licenses The Company will pay the license renewal fees for licensed professionals in their home state. The Company will pay for additional licenses and professional certifications in other states if the Company has asked the employee to obtain or maintain that license. If an employee’s license renews during his or her Introductory Period, the employee will pay for the license renewal. Following completion of the Introductory Period, if the individual is still an employee at BL, the Company will reimburse the employee for the cost of the license renewal. The employee should submit the cost as a reimbursable expense. Employees are required to cooperate in obtaining and maintaining licenses requested by the Company. To qualify for reimbursement, the employee must have provided a copy of the license to the Legal Department. The Company may pay for membership in professional societies where appropriate. Once an employee leaves the Company for any reason, the Company will cease to pay any license renewal fees. In many jurisdictions, continuing education courses are required to maintain a professional license. It is the responsibility of the employee to track the requirements in each jurisdiction where he or she is licensed and to arrange to take the necessary
