of December 31st of every year. The above table shows the maximum number of hours an Employee can carry forward depending on his/her yearly accrual. Any employee’s PTO hours over the cap (1.5 times allowance) can be “bought back” from the employee by paying the employee for PTO over the cap. The Buy-Back Program will take place after the end of the year and the Company may suspend this program if economic conditions demand. Accrued PTO is paid out to employees upon separation of employment. Accrual of PTO During Paid Leave and Unpaid Leave All employees who are actively at work or on PTO will continue to accrue PTO provided by the Company. Employees on unpaid leave are not entitled to continue accruing PTO. This includes employees who are receiving income replacement benefits from a source outside of BL Companies payroll such as short-term disability, long-term disability or workers’ compensation insurance. Employees on unpaid military leave of absence and paid or unpaid leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) are also not eligible for accruals of PTO. Bereavement A maximum of twenty-four (24) hours of

paid bereavement time is provided for a death in the employee’s immediate family. Immediate family includes the employee’s spouse, child, sibling, parent or grandparent. Additional time off will be without pay or may be taken as PTO. A maximum of eight (8) hours of paid bereavement time is provided for a death in the employee’s extended family. Extended family includes the employee’s aunts, uncles and cousins. Additional time off will be without pay or taken as PTO. Part time employees are not eligible for paid bereavement time. Special Circumstances When a former Company employee who has voluntarily terminated his or her employment is rehired, such employee will be given credit for his or her prior employment with the Company for determination of PTO allowance. PTO Donor Program Employees will have the option to transfer PTO hours from their account to assist employees who are experiencing financial hardship due to a severe health condition or family emergency. The transfer of PTO time must be approved, in advance, by the employee’s Department Executive Director and Human Resources Director. All donations of PTO are anonymous.
