EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT Employee Owners at BL are the key to the Company’s success and nothing can be achieved without their engagement. BL also knows that, to engage employees at all levels across the organization, BL must provide information on its activities and on specific aspects of its work. Through open communication and active cooperation, BL invites everyone to contribute to identifying and carrying out improvements to the way the Company does business. BL Companies meets quarterly with all Employee Owners to discuss goals, progress on achieving the goals and other relevant matters that will help Employee Owners understand the business. In addition, each department meets regularly to provide more detailed and department specific information and to discuss specific items. Each Employee Owner should make it a priority to attend these meetings so that he or she has the information and can contribute to the discussions about the Company and its direction. ACCOUNTABILITY The Company believes that accountability is important for its success. Every Employee Owner, no matter what level of seniority, is equally responsible for aiding in the success of the Company. Accountability first starts with each Employee Owner, then extends to the teams in which they work, and ultimately flows to the entire Company.
