JESSICA BATES This is a really tough question So many concerts were the best or memorable in so many different ways. If I had to narrow it down to just one (or two), I would have to say my most memorable concert was either the Grateful Dead in Highgate VT in 1994, or Metallica in Keene NH, also in 1994. (Thankfully there are no pictures from back then.) I do, however, still have the tie-dyed t-shirts from the Dead shows. They have seen better times!! Nerd Alert: The highway system was not able to accommodate the 60,000-90,000 people that showed up to that show. There was like 12 miles of backup on I-91. People literally ditched their cars on the highway and walked to the show. After that experience, I declined to go the next year when the Dead went back in 1995. My first concert ever was 10,000 Maniacs at Stowe Mountain Resort in 1993.

SAMANTHA SHAW One of the best concerts I’ve attended is the Harry Styles: Live on Tour Philadelphia show in 2018. While it wasn’t the closest I’ve been to the main stage, we were along the aisle where he walked from Stage A to Stage B. We also more or less ended up in the video posted on Instagram by the local radio station (Q102 Philly)! You can see me holding out a piece of paper with my dad’s picture on it and a message along the lines of “you’re my dad’s hero”, as well as my friend’s face at the very end. It was also just a great night with good friends before I left campus after graduation. The first (real) concert I remember going to was Hillary Duff Metamorphosis Tour. I had a great time, despite being in the nose bleeds and the girls behind us screaming the whole time.
