THOMAS FRENCH, PE, Transportation Department Manager | HDR, Inc. Thomas French, PE is a Transportation Department Manager for HDR, Inc. He is responsible for Civil, Structural, Maritime and Environment staff in New England. Tom has spent 29 years on the inspection, analysis, design, project management and construction of bridge, highway, drainage, civil/site and miscellaneous building projects throughout the country. He has been the lead design engineer on over 200 projects during his career as a designer for the NHDOT, as a design consultant, and as the engineering manager for a precast concrete company. He received his Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and was named the 2022 NH Engineer of the Year by the Engineering Societies of NH. Tom has spent the last 27 years as an EMT and Firefighter serving his hometown, Henniker, NH, where he lives with his wife and two youngest daughters. TIM YOUNG, PE, ASSOC. DBIA, Senior Project Manager | HDR, Inc. Tim Young, PE, Associate DBIA, is a Senior Project Manager for HDR, Inc., with a focus on alternative project delivery methods. Tim has over 30 years of experience in transportation engineering including bridge design, accelerated bridge construction, construction oversight, project management and alternative project delivery. He has assisted owners throughout New England with the procurement of ten (10) Design-Build projects of varying scope and complexity. He received his Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut. Connecticut’s Charging Ahead Plan: A Strategy to Expand Public Electric Vehicle Charging & Rhode Island State Plan for Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment CATHERINE BURNS, Project Manager, Senior Systems Engineering | Jacobs Cathy serves as a Project Manager, Senior Systems Engineering, and Technical Chief Editor for the Jacobs Systems and Technology group. Studying aerospace engineering, she has focused on emerging technologies improving transportation networks for the past 15 years, including electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). JENNIFER REILLY, Senior Transportation Planner | CTDOT Jennifer Reilly is a Senior Transportation Planner in the Office of Environmental Planning at the Connecticut Department of Transportation. Her work focuses on reducing carbon pollution from the transportation sector and looking at ways to improve the resilience of the transportation system to climate change and other natural and human disruptions. With over ten years of experience working on air quality and transportation initiatives for the State, Jenn is the Department’s electric vehicle subject matter expert and coordinates closely with regional and state partners to accelerate the adoption of zero-emission vehicles. Jenn holds a BA from Delaware Valley University and an MPS from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. . JOHN-PAUL A. VERDUCCI MPA, PMP, Chief Economic and Policy Analyst | RIDOT Currently leading RIDOT’s efforts to utilize approximately $23 million for the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program. Funding will be used to develop electric vehicle infrastructure throughout the state in coordination with State agencies, public, and private stakeholders.
